Cover system continued
I have been working on some improvements to make the cover system look and function like the stealth games I previously referenced. The tutorial I have been following provided some animation poses which make the cover movement look a little more realistic. I have no experience with animation so it was an interesting thing to learn, as well as adding a little something extra to my project along the way.
I also implemented an automatic crouch function when taking cover next to low terrain. I did this adding a line trace at a certain height to determine if the cover is high or low. If the trace does not register a hit, the cover will be low and the character will automatically crouch.
